  • Company researched in detail, internet searches, research via other medical sales reps, speak with customers, eg Drs and pharmacists
  • Best business ware dry cleaned, shoes polished.
  • Route to interview well planned/timed, with extra time allowed for traffic jams, late trains/buses, tornados and other natural disasters...if it matters, go early and add an extra hour for good measure, if you're late, you've had it no matter what your excuse!
  • Spotless brief case or bag containing well organised brag file, first impressions last!
  • Intelligent questions prepared for the end of the interview, notepad available to note responses.
  • Sold the job to yourself before the interview? Recruiting managers will only consider people who really want a particular pharmaceutical job, being open at interview if you're not sure about it simply removes your choices as you won't be considered anyway afterwards! So whether it's medical sales or any other pharmaceutical jobs, make sure you're convincing that it really is the job for you.
  • Coathangers at the ready, smile for your country, it'll always impress.
  • Be yourself and enjoy meeting people at your interview, good luck. People who give and open and friendly impression at interview will likely be good to have around in a role, particularly for customer fronting roles like medical sales, the impression you give at interview will likely reflect your impression in front of a customer.
