At the higher end of these roles potential earnings can be huge.  Some of these large items of machinery sold into the NHS are hundreds of thousands of pounds, so there's lots at stake for companies to attract people who can sell.  As a result commission structures tend to be strong with top reps often earning 6 figure sums.

Although there are medical equipment jobs at the lower end such as selling smaller devices, monitoring machines, surgical implants and so on, these higher end roles are rarely available to someone in the early part of medical sales career.  For those who do make a career in medical equipment sales and do make it to the high end capital equipment sales, earnings can eclipse some of the UKs traditionally highest paid such a Doctors and lawyers.

In this area you would sell to a broad range of customers, mainly in secondary care in both private and NHS sectors.
