Medical rep jobs

There are various levels of medical rep jobs which apply to this general term.  The entry level job is generally considered the GP rep role, otherwise know as primary care reps.  this role involves seeing customers in primary care pratices to sell prescription medicines.  You are likely to see GPs, practice nurses, practice managers and perhaps dispensing managers in this role to foster the sales of your product.

The next level of medical rep job is usually termed a GP/Hospital rep role, involving both primary and secondary care work.  For many products, although the community constitutes the larger proportion of customers, quite often prescribing patterns are determined by the specialists in the local hospital.

The more senior roles which can often come under this heading are that of the hospital representative NHS Liaison.  These are the most senior roles in pharmaceutical companies sales structures and are aimed at managing relationships with key decision makers within hospitals and the NHS.
