Rocked by change in 2006, many pharmaceutical recruitment agencies reported declining numbers of pharmaceutical vacancies during 2006. This was partly due to decreasing numbers of medical sales and other pharmaceutical jobs, and in addition and inertia due to the uncertainty in the pharmaceutical industry generally.
2007 seems to have started with a bang with many reoprting a surge in pharmaceutical vacancies. It may be that increased stability in 2007 will have the ironic effect of instability for medical sales people, giving them increased confidence to move within the market.
